Affin Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd) (AFFIN PHEIM) group of companies comprises three licensed entities spanning conventional asset management, Islamic asset management and unit trust management.

Originally established as Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd (now known as Affin Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd) in 1994, the company has grown into one of Malaysia’s pioneering independent asset management firms. Over the past three decades, it has built a strong reputation for disciplined investment management, serving institutional, corporate, high-net-worth and retail investors across Malaysia and the region.

A significant milestone was achieved in 2026 when Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd (now known as Affin Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd) became a wholly-owned subsidiary of AFFIN Bank Berhad. The business was subsequently rebranded as AFFIN PHEIM, reflecting its integration into the AFFIN Group while preserving the investment heritage, expertise and trusted reputation established over more than 30 years.

Today, AFFIN PHEIM combines PHEIM’s established investment management capabilities with AFFIN’s strengths as a leading Malaysian universal banking group. Together, these capabilities create a more comprehensive wealth and investment platform, enabling clients to access a broader range of solutions backed by the scale, reach and financial strength of the AFFIN Group.

Affin Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd is licensed under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007, specializing in ASEAN and Asia ex-Japan equity markets. Over the years, Affin Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd has served a diverse clientele comprising high-net-worth individuals, corporate investors, provident funds, insurance companies and retail investors.

Capitalising on the strengths and expertise across the Affin Pheim Group, Affin Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd works closely with its affiliated entities comprising Affin Pheim Unit Trusts Berhad and Affin Pheim Islamic Asset Management Sdn Bhd. In 2021, Affin Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd expanded its capabilities with the establishment of 100%-owned subsidiary, Affin Pheim Islamic Asset Management Sdn Bhd, following the approval of an Islamic Fund Management licence by the Securities Commission Malaysia.

Affin Pheim Islamic was established to meet the growing demand for Shariah-compliant and ethical investment solutions among institutional and retail investors. The company offers a range of Islamic investment products and mandates while contributing to the continued development of Malaysia’s Islamic capital market.

As part of its long-term vision, Affin Pheim Islamic Asset Management Sdn Bhd is committed to nurturing talent and developing expertise in Islamic fund management, supporting the growth and internationalisation of Malaysia’s Islamic wealth management industry while promoting responsible and sustainable investment practices.

Affin Pheim Unit Trusts Berhad commenced operations in 2001 as a unit trust management company approved by the Securities Commission Malaysia and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Affin Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd.

Established to serve the growing needs of retail investors, Affin Pheim Unit Trusts Berhad provides access to the investment expertise of both Affin Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd and Affin Pheim Islamic Asset Management Sdn Bhd through a diversified range of conventional and Islamic unit trust funds.
